Students can attend a summer course on location as a supplement to their normal study programme. These courses take place in countries in which large numbers of students have very specific course requirements.
The courses can also be organised in countries in which students would have great difficulty in taking a summer course in the Netherlands and Flanders for geographical and/or funding reasons. These courses are organised under the responsibility of an academic network.
In allocating a grant, the Union for the Dutch Language looks to facilitate a summer course on location. This grant is intended to cover the lecturers’ fees as well as the participants’ and lecturing staff’s travel and accommodation expenses.
Applications must be submitted before 1 December, prior to the next budget year. Application forms have to be completed in Dutch. Forms in other languages will not be accepted.
